in My World

FINALS WEEK

It was finals week and I was stressing about geometry. I mean, it’s all about shapes and letters…how is that math?

Anyways, I gathered my notebook and school laptop and started studying. It was hard to concentrate with all the noise at home. My younger brother with RAD was yelling…having an “episode,” as my mom calls it…so I put on headphones.

The night before my exam, I went to get the laptop and my notebook to study one last time…but it wasn’t where I left it. I asked my mom if she had moved it but she said she hadn’t seen it.

I walked down the hallway towards my brothers’ bedrooms when I tripped over my now empty notebook. All the pages had been ripped out.

Stunned, I picked it up and walked back to my bedroom. There on my bed, was my school laptop…dented and missing keys.
